ROPE, STIFF - THICK (5/8" Dia.) * Distributed by Scoop
The magician displays a piece of rope (5/8" X 30") coiled over the hand to prove it is just an ordinary rope. The magician now stretches the rope between his two hands, horizontally, and pretends to hypnotize the rope. One hand is now released, and the rope stands rigid like a stick. He now merely blows on it, or pretends to shoot it, and it falls limp once again. I have seen this very simple trick worked into some of the funniest routines. Great for walk around and stage shows alike. It is self contained and always ready to do. There are no wires or threads or any external support. This is the neatest version of the "Hindu" rope trick we have recently seen.
